Internationally-known opera director, puppeteer, furniture designer, and food artist Doug Fitch is visiting Alaska for the first time from New York City. Doug has a recent success directing Janacek’s “The Cunning Little Vixen” at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic. He has directed operas in Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Paris, and Chile, has worked with Jim Henson and the Muppets, Disney, consulted on numerous projects of industrial design, and staged a series of experimental feasts in Japan and southwest France.
Doug will be giving an illustrated talk at the Silverbow Backroom on Wednesday, August 10th, at 7:00 p.m. The talk will be free and the public is invited to attend.
