Newsletter 2

It’s official, we’ve reserved the Silverbow Backroom for July 12th and the show will start right around 7:30. The room seats about 80 and I’m pretty certain we can pack it. I’m also thinking about a second showing possibly the next Thursday for those who miss out. Entries for the summer festival are due by Monday July 1st, 2002 and should be in one of the following formats: Mini-DV, Hi-8, VHS-C, or VHS. If you plan on working in another format get a hold of me and we’ll see what we can work out.

Our other big news is that we’ll be having a meeting for anyone interested in getting more information or discussing a concept they have. The meeting will be Wednesday, May 8th at 6:00 and will be held in the Rainy Day Room. That’s our top secret meeting room located down the hall from Heritage Coffee, suite 103 in the Emporium building to be exact.

Editing and Shooting Q&A

Q: What if I’ve never made a film?
A: Fantastic! If it turns out bad you can tell people it was your first
film and if it’s good then you’ll be hailed as some sort of prodigal
cinematic genius!

Q: Wasn’t the previous question addressed in the last newsletter?
A: Yup, I just wanted to reiterate that anyone can participate.
