Grab a spoon. It’s time to chow down on another hearty helping of our nutritious JUMP Society Newsletter!
JUMP Society Winter Film Festival!
First up on the menu is a seasonal favorite, a potluck of short films created by local artists, the JUMP Society Winter Film Festival!
It’s not too late to submit your own concoction for the festival but there’s only one week left to have the garnish on your masterwork so you’d better get something in the oven fast!
Submissions are due on January 26th and submissions guidelines are available here:
The Winter Film Festival will be held in the newly remodeled Silverbow Backroom on February 1st-3rd.
Thursday, February 1st @ 7pm
Friday, February 2nd @ 7pm & 9pm
Saturday, February 3rd @ 7pm & 9pm
Tickets will be available soon… let’s say Thursday. I like Thursdays.
AK Robotics DVD
The Lucid Reverie crew has released a compilation disc of fifteen short films featuring many JUMP Society classics. If you want to see the films, listen to our goofy commentary tracks or just want to support our work, you can pick up the optimistically titled Alaska Robotics – Volume 1 at Hearthside, Capitol Records and Lucid Reverie.
Juneau Library Film Series
The Juneau Public Library and Juneau World Affairs Council present, World of Film, an international film series that celebrates the arts, languages and cuisines of other nations.
All screenings are free and will start at 7 with a potluck inspired by the featured country and then films follow at 7:30.
An audience discussion will follow time permitting.
