Lighting Kit for sale

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

I have a lighting package for sale. This is a smoking deal, considering that a new lighting kit with this much lighting power costs about $1,400. I am selling 4 x 1000 watt Lowel lights. The kit is well used and has seen some wear and tear over the years, but if you are interested in a lighting package that will crank out some lumens then look no further. I’ve shot with these lights for years and have been very happy with their performance. They are rugged.

The spot and flood on two of them doesn’t work, but you could easily order replacement parts. You could order replacement parts for the whole kit from Lowel, under DP parts on their website. If you wanted to repair and upgrade this kit it wouldn’t be too much at all.

comes with -
barndoors
extra bulbs
post clamps

I am selling everything you see in the pictures. 4 lights + accessories + 4 lighting stands, all for only $450 OBO. Shoot me an email, Brice Habeger, bhabeger (at) hotmail.com.

Will gladly answer any questions. Thanks!!!

Thursday, June 30th – 7pm
Friday, July 1st – 7pm & 9pm

Never Sets Film Festival: call for entries

Monday, June 20th, 2011

Do you have a film sitting on your shelf that, you feel, deserves an audience?

Maybe you’ve already shown it at JUMP, received critical acclaim, and you want to get it out to statewide Alaskan audiences?

Maybe you’ve got a really great script that you want to get out there?

Check out the Never Sets Festival. It’s a festival by Alaskans, for Alaskans, and featuring only Alaskans. And since this is its first year in existence, there is NO ENTRY FEE.

The festival is a competitive film festival and films will be judged based on creativity, story, and execution. The festival is broken into two parts: 1) the films will be collected for a regional screening, for example all the films in Southeastern part of the state, 2) then a panel of judges will select the best films to go onto the state wide competition.

FILMS MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS. Please, check out the below link for a complete list of rules and submission guidelines.

Don ‘t delay: entry deadline is June 30th and the late entry deadline is July 15th.

Please contact me if you have any questions – Brice Habeger, bhabeger (at) hotmail.com

Journey on the Wild Coast showings this weekend

Friday, April 8th, 2011

In a follow up to the packed house at the showing in January, Greg Chaney will be exhibiting his recent documentary, Journey on the Wild Coast, this Saturday, April 9th at 7:00 and 9:15 PM at Centennial Hall.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 12 and under and can be purchased at the door or in advance at Hearthside Books.

Erin and Hig, the couple featured in the movie, will be in attendance and signing books after the shows.

A married couple attempt to walk, paddle and ski under their own power from Seattle to the Aleutians along the wild and remote northwest coast of North America. This documentary was filmed with a tiny hand held video camera by the adventures as they traveled through northern Washington, British Columbia and Alaska. Experience this modern adventure through their eyes as they encounter breathtaking scenery, harsh weather, amazing wildlife, starvation and danger. This modern adventure demonstrates that the most significant aspect of a journey is not reaching the final destination but how the journey changes the trajectory of the rest of a person’s life.
