The JUMP Society Film Festival features locally made short films. Admission is free and tickets are available at the Alaska Robotics gallery at 220 Front Street. Call 523-0303 if you need instructions. The tickets will guarantee you a seat and will let us know when a screening is full.

We are still accepting films and the deadline is Monday, August 19. The only real rule we have is that is needs to be under 10 minutes in length (of course shorter is better). You can submit your movie at Alaska Robotics at 200 Front Street or at Lucid Reverie. Anton Doiron, a local film maker and regular JUMP participant, has a nice new camera and is offering his filming services:

I’m raising money to finish my current movie Space Trucker Bruce so I offer my services for filming your summer JUMP festival entry.   I have a Blackmagic Cinema Camera that has similar dynamic range to film and can shoot in 2.5k RAW or 1080p Apple ProRes422 format.  You organize it and I will film it.  When filming is done I will put the files on an external hard drive or DVD for you to edit.  I can take the focus off of the filming part so you can just be creative.  Drop me an email at anton@spacepiratefilms.com
